All the banks in New Zealand charge way too much for merchant fees. overseas you can get a low as 0.9%. When are we gonna catchup with the rest of the world?

I was 12 minutes over time in a paid carpark I had paid for. Tournament Parking clamped my car then, spent ages turning up to un-clamp it. If I had a blow-torch I would've done exactly what that guy did on the news last week

I moved into a new house and setup a power account with Empower. 2 months went by and I received no bills. Then I receive a letter from mercury energy saying they will cut off my power if I don't pay the bill. I rung Empower, they never setup the account as apparently I have to give them a meter reading for a meter, that I don't even know where it's located. 4 months and I'm yet to receive a power bill, but I know when it comes it'll be big

I filled in the IRD form for student loan amnesty. I have been in and out of New Zealand for the last 4 years. The form only allowed a start date and end date so I entered the start date for the first time I left NZ after finishing my studies. It took me 20 minutes to fill in the form, then a 20 minute phone-call from IRD later and 3 weeks later a letter to tell me I was in-eligible. If they had spent 30 minutes more on that form, we all would've saved some of our valuable time!!!
